I Read Blogs
First things first, if you are going to read this post, you must read it out loud and imitate the cat. It's that simple. If not, you should stop reading now. Kay? Kay.
Hey you! Yes, you! Have you ever wondered what it would be like if someone actually read all your blog posts? Well, today's your lucky day!
Hey you! Yes, you! Have you ever wondered what it would be like if someone actually read all your blog posts? Well, today's your lucky day!
"OH RLY?!?!!?!?!"
(Absurd number of exclamation and question marks.)
YES RLY!
Why? Because I read your blogs! I'm not one of those, "neh, that doesn't look that interesting to me, maybe I'll go look at some pictures of kittens and come back later... AWWWWWWW. (DISTRACTED FOR LIFE.)"
No. That is not me, that is you. So here's a word of encouragement for all you bloggers that I'm following. I read your posts. All of dem, and hold them close to my kitten-like-heartish-shaped-object. The important part is that you make sure that I am indeed following you. Otherwise... Well...
(Though I personally prefer "forever a stone.")
I'm a hard core blog reader, I mean I read backlogs of backlogs. If I follow your blog, I've most likely (and no guarantees, I may have missed a couple) have read all of your posts. (The exception to this being Megan Squared. <-So worth reading.)
So don't worry and be happy in the words of Bobby McFerrin. I'll read your posts. If I'm not following your blog: chat me, beep me if you wanna reach me. Yes, Kim Possible FTW.
I charge ye all this moment to write brilliant blog posts so that I can read them. Does anyone else feel that it's almost time to do another round of the blog challenge?
Most pontiferously yours,
Stevie
(No, I don't know what pontiferously means.)
Mmm. Toasty.
Well hullo thar.
Summer is here, with all it's beautiful sunshine and extreme heat. (/fainted)
I must say that I am extremely glad to be free from all the stress of school. It was beginning to take over my life (quite literally).
AND LIKE THE REST OF YOU I'M FREEEEE!!!!
In all the sanctity of human life, I've actually been kind of lazy and not interested in blogging. I'm sorry. I apologize for my innate human interactions. SO LET'S DO STUFF!

... This might be shopped. It might not. The world may never know.
Anyways... One of you might be smart enough to notice that June 13, and my school officially ended on June 8th.... Erm. I was hunting unicorns. In all the sanctity of human life, I've actually been kind of lazy and not interested in blogging. I'm sorry. I apologize for my innate human interactions. SO LET'S DO STUFF!
Has this song been stuck in anyone else's head?
HEY I JUST MEETCHUU AND THIS IS CRAZYY BUT HERE'S MAH NUMBA....
*Lol, no you can't actually have my number... creeper.*
It's ridiculously catchy. I have a brilliant video to film in mind. Sadly, it won't live up to the quality that my mind is currently projecting it, but I'll probably make it... Cuz I love you guys like that. Yup.
If you haven't seen this video watch it right now. That's an order.
Davina and Emmie (my two sisters-but-not-really-I-kind-of-adopted-them) made me proud at a party by succumbing to my peer pressure (as did Hannah and Caroline) and playing water polo. Well done good and faithful sisters. Teehee.
Well, I have other things to obliterate my time upon, so I will leave ye all with this:
If a polar bear steals your french fries, give him more... Oh wait, you don't have any more. My bad.
That Awkward Moment When... YOU GET SLAMMED BY ANOTHER CAR.
Wednesday, was just like any other day. Happy, delightful, filled with Scholarly activity and preparation for watching the Psych premier. On the way to Scholars, I had a stray thought that I verbalized to my mother. "I wonder when my first accident will be." She reprimanded me for wishing for bad things to happen, which I quickly amended, "Not that I want to be in one."
Well... It didn't really matter whether I wanted to be in one I guess. That's life for ya.
Friday was a wonderful day... Well, everything except the car accident Two. Blocks. From. My. House.

I am depicted here, preparing for the drive.
Fiiiine. I'm not Chuck Norris, neither do I own a cobra. (sigh) >.<
I jumped in my old Honda and my mother climbed in then we shot off around the cul-de-sac. I made my way up the hill perpendicular to my street to this four way intersection at the top. Traffic was pretty busy, so I waited until I saw an opening, as someone was turning the opposite way, allowing me to get out into the intersection. So, I pulled into the right lane, then my mother said in a commanding tone, "Stop!" so... I stopped. When my mother tells you things, it's generally a good idea to listen, whether it's advice about: God, school, girls, food, or even music. Don't listen to her if she tries to tell you something about technology, it's a bad idea. You're liable end up like this fellow.
Anyway, she yelled, "Stop!" so I stopped. Good thing I did too. The car opposite me decided it was going to pull out and turn left. I stopped my car completely, but the guy driving somehow completely missed seeing me. In other words, he turned into my bumper and then proceeded to grind along the far front left edge without VEERING AWAY. Yeah. I was really confused by that. Apparently the loud GRINDING NOISE didn't alert him to my presence either.
"GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRINDIAHNDIUWHDIJOJWQEFO."
... "Squirrels these days."
After he had driven down the road a little ways, he finally seemed to realize that he had just had an accident and stopped. The dude that got out was Short and I mean shorter-than-Chamberlain short. Short. He probably couldn't see me because his seat wasn't high enough up. Boooosttteerr seaaaat. He admitted that it was all his fault to us and apologized. The dude was dressed well, and he had the unmistakable, overpowering sent of Axe. I just spent twenty minutes trying to find an actor that looks similar to him, but I give up. Someday... Someday I'll figure it out.
Anyway, the dude was pretty chill about it, so we exchanged info and then we went our separate ways. Thinking back, that guy could have killed us if my mother hadn't told me to stop, if I hadn't listened, if I pressed the break a second too late. It truly is God's protection that we are still alive. It reminds me, my life is a gift, day by day, and it is time for me to die, I must go with joy and happiness, ready to meet my savior. Lately, life has become too precious to me. I care too much about my time, my goals, my mine me myself. This leaves me with only one option as a response.
Thank you for waking me up God. He him his.

A Christian Song A Day Mailing List
auhfnweougwegnh.
^Perfect. My blog needed some good nonsense.
What was I doing?
Oh yeah, the mailing list.
Well, I've decided that I am going to start sending out an email a day with a different Christian artist for a couple weeks, maybe longer depending on the success of the mission. If you would like to be added to this mailing list, notify me either through a comment or a chat. You may already know them all, or you may not. Who knows? Be sure to let me know if you'd like to be added. =]
A Week of Dressing Fabulously
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? FABUULOUS?
Yes, little person in my head, fabulous.
Last Saturday, I was in the bathroom staring at my reflection in the mirror while I brushed my teeth when I glanced downward. I spotted none other than my forsaken comb. Ooo, I thought. I haven't combed my hair in a long time. Thereafter, I combed my hair, systematically in my attempt to defeat my double cowlick.
(This unfortunate trait results in this equally unfortunate hairstyle. See the back?)
Finally defeating the beast, I went off to Cross Culture, where no less than five people commented on my hair...
"I like your haircut!"
"I got it two weeks ago..."
(Awkward Silence Ensues.)
After this event I decided that I had withstood enough. Time to pull out all the stops.
I decided to prove that I can dress fabulously if I so choose. Time to dig through the drawers.
It's time to dress.
(This is one of those times I wish I owned a decent camera.)
Saturday: Sunday:
Monday: Tuesday:
Wednesday: Thursday:
Friday:
Some of these fill me with such delight. =D I personally like Wednesday... So hilarious. Thursday is pajamas, and by rule, pajamas are ALWAYS fabulous. OH AND I'M MISSING THE HAT FROM FRIDAY. I knew I was missing something.. Steven, cough cough.
And now that I have proven that I can dress fabulously, I will cease to do so. Mostly because I'm too lazy, and it all comes down to what's on top of the pile. Shrugs. I'm very secure in my image. :P Though, I won't stop styling my hair... Mostly because it's fun. =D
On that note, tomorrow is the last day for the blog challenge! May I congratulate ye all on your hard work and writing, a fabulous job, and I look forward to seeing you all participate in the future challenges.
Fair thee well!

*Having listened to Brain Regan with me earlier in the day.*
Mom: Brian Regan.

Mom: AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

*After spending time talking about GPS's and crashing.*
Mom: I'm
going to smash into the road.
Me: How
do you do that?!
Mom: I don't know, but I am going to.
Fortune Cookies
Today is Chinese New Year, and by an odd chance, I decided today was the day our family should order Chinese, fortunately they agreed. I didn't know that it was Chinese New Year before, I just felt like... Chinese food.
Over time, I've amassed a relatively large number of fortune cookies that I have received that I actually somewhat like.
Today's Fortune Cookie: "Love is the affinity which links and draws together the elements of the world."
"Cleaning up the past will always clear up the future."
"No snowflakes in an avalanche ever feels responsible."
"Release your energy in a productive way."
"Joys are often the shadows, cast by sorrows."
Also, fortune cookies should be called proverb cookies...
Happy Chinese New Year! =D

Hydroplaning
Mother told me so. Yup. Car driving is fun. HEEHEEHEE.
Whaaaattt?
'Twas a while ago that I began driving, but there was a particular day that the conversation turned particularly interesting.
I pull out of the Scholar's parking lot, deciding to turn left, because I could really go either way. I start to giggle giddily. "Oh yes, this is going to be a fun car-ride." I think and put my hand up on the wheel authoritatively. My mother asks me about my day, I run through the standard laundry-list activities of the day. "Welllll... There were announcements in the morning..." I pause and pull up slightly closer to the car's bumper in front of me than my other is comfortable with. My mom gives off her slight flutter of panic and then prompts me: "and?" I scratch my head, "Uhmmm... I don't really remember what they were. Let me think, something from AIC Council about... something." I squint to increase my mental perceptions... because that works in my world. "Oh yeah! There was some kind of announcement about the Turkey Trot or something." I glance down the road, my eyes fixed on the bumper of the car in front of me. I can already feel myself drifting into auto-pilot. "Okay, what else..." My mom walks me through my day till we're finished and the conversation drifts off toward other topics. We begin to discuss driving, and I still feel quite giddy. Somehow the topic of driving in wet weather comes up. "If you had made that turn in wet weather you'd have a hydroplaned." My mom tells me as I make a particularly precarious turn. "Hydroplane," I repeat, and chuckle. She keeps talking about the dangers of turns in wet weather and how someday I'm going... Then I lose track of what she's saying and start muttering "Hydroplane," to myself and chuckling repeatedly. It takes a little while for her to realize that I'm not listening and she says something like: "Well it's true." My response to this is to say "hydroplane!" louder and burst out laughing out of nowhere. Something about that word just tickles my fancy hamster. The whole ride is spent with me finding new words to mutter and laugh at. At some point I begin to wonder if it's safe for me to driving, but I instantly disregard my worries and chuckle some more. "I'll to write this in a blog post when I get home," I think.
And here we are. Hydroplaning. Teehee. If you ever meet me when I'm giddy, I urge you not to pass the chance because it is probably one of the most amusing times you'll ever have. I'll laugh at everything and anything and there's no stopping me. Chances are that I'll tell you I'm giddy, because I always know and enjoy every moment of it. If only I could be giddy on demand... This calls for investigation.
To give you another brief snapshot, imagine me in Grant's basement, half slid down a chair, drunkenly singing "BA-BA BLACK SHEEP!" at the top of my lungs at three in the morning.

Music Theory
Theoretically... Music theory should be hard. In reality.. not so much.
For someone who spends 25% of his free time playing instruments and writing songs and stuff, this is hardly much of an effort. We had a "big project" that was composed of 16 measures with a whole bunch of dynamics, articulation, and tempo p-zazz thrown in. Whoopdee doo. I could compose that in my sleep. I probably have.
Even better, get this, last year I discovered the program that the teacher has us write in via one of my friends who was taking the course. I then proceeded to spend most of that day fooling with it composing about three times the amount necessary for someone who was actually required to complete that assignment. Amateurish.
When I found I had to write a composition I yawned, pulled out my sixty-seven measure piece, and went on a hot-coco break (because I still think coffee is nasty.) Unfortunately, I discovered that adding the stupid symbols she wanted to be in the piece was going to be pointless because they would really serve no purpose, so after murdering my piece, and tearing it to bits over the past 2 marking periods, I'd had enough. I re-read the requirements and composed a new piece that fit her requirements for the final assignment... maybe 2 hours flat. Disgusting, isn't it?
So... Music theory, ye who hold no challenge to those of finer tastes. I slay thee as a beast and we shall meet again on the eve of the period of marking new. So long sweet chariot.
Here's my composition for the final project:

And the one that I composed quite a while ago:

Enjoy the sounds of a completed assignment and a finished course. Ha-cha-cha.

How NOT to Make Waffles
Today, I'm making waffles... Yeah, I can do that.
1. In the process of mixing, add way too little water. (Just because you mixed it doesn't mean it doesn't need more water. I relearned this the hard way.)
2. Forget to spray the waffle maker with non-stick spray. This will help you to not be able to eat your waffles because they won't come off. Yup.
3. In the second batch when you do spray the waffle maker, be sure to use the only disgusting spray that your household owns. I prefer to use NOT REAL BUTTER SPRAY. IT SMELLS SO TERRIBLE. WHY WOULD THEY MAKE SOMETHING SO AWFUL?!?! IT SMELLS LIKE POPCORN... GONE WRONG. I DIDN'T KNOW POPCORN COULD DO THAT! Hurgahghauigfhwefgwegigweg.
(Sorry, I'm angry.)
4. One of two things will then happen, the waffles will turn white because of the awful disgusting spray, or the waffle maker will lie to you and tell you that it's done when it really isn't. (I haven't decided which one it is.)
------
Oh, it's turning an unnatural yellow color with random brown crisps.... Yeah, if you want to die eat it now.
------
I just realized, it's probably taking so long because I added so much stinking water. Ah well, better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all...
------
After the third time the waffle maker tells me they're done, they are... Well, as close as they'll ever be.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!?!?!
Well, yes I am wearing a hat... but besides that. (That's how I dress on non-school days... Pajama pants and hats. You learn something new every day.)
Do those waffles on the left look healthy to you!?!...
The terrible image quality doesn't help but I promise you they look vile. Note my concerned expression.
....
Now the real question...
Do I eat them anyway?
I'd like any of you people on in the morning to assist me in my dilemma. I'm hungry, so please hurry.

THIS ISN'T OVER WAFFLE MAKER... I'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW MORNING.

(Simeon has lost =(. That makes it six people that remain in the competition. When the going gets tough. Well. It gets tough. I'm sorry to see you go Sim, so I thought I'd send you out with a little ApologetiX.)
Captured pieces of times and places,
Ideas and efforts, each unfinished.
Each the beginning of a new story.
Waiting to be painted, waiting to be finished
but always unable. They are never complete,
no matter what you add, there's always
something
more.
Like a tree that grows, towards the heavens
always reaching,
never finding.
It cannot attain perfection.
It is too lofty an ideal.
It cannot reach the sky,
because
it is the limit.

What does that title mean? Well, you'll understand by the end of the post.
We'll start with issue 2 first. Sadly, Royal Duplex(Emmie) has lost the challenge. She has promised to continue posting which I fully expect her to follow through with (hint, hint.) Also, Nemmy forgot to post which makes it only 7 of us remaining. Therefore, it seems only appropriate we say goodbye to them to the tune of Queen-Another One Bites The Dust(AOBTD).
Also, as a form of soothing, I promised to post these pictures that Emmie spent about half an hour staring at... If they don't keep you busy I don't know what will...

With that taken care of let's move on to the next item of business. For my Lit class (yes another thing made for Lit) I had to make an image based project that exemplified my individual. I did George Whitefield. Here's the video that I made, I am very pleased with my work. =)
Yup, that took forever. It was so worth it.
And the last item of business. I've decided to create a web-comic. It will naturally be featured here on my blog, I'm basing it off of my experience at school. So many brilliant ideas are thrown around there that never find there way into anything... so here we are.

Pianowizzy has officially lost the competition as I was actually able to get in contact with her. She was sick.
Which I don't see as a valid excuse. Type a word. Post. Sorry Meglo. Have fun in the blog-afterlife.
Now to the real post...
Hey ladies and gents! How was your Christmas? Mine was great, I got shot in the eye.
Yeah. I got shot in the eye with a nerf gun. Every year my family does a white elephant, and one of the gifts I contributed was a nerf gun. My nephew ended up getting it. Was it my nephew that shot me? Of course not! My older brother decided to go all Rambo on me. The eye shot was pretty epic.
I saw the dark streak come toward my eye. It went all slow-mo for both him and me. It was a lot like this.
Unfortunately, my eye doesn't bounce bullets like Superman. Superman is a jerk. Showoff. It's actually incredible that my brother even managed to shoot me in the eye. Lucky bullet-slinger. Revenge will come someday Leo, watch your back. O_O
Haha.
N-E-Ways.
Recently we've been having our bathroom demolished and consequently reconstructed with a hot tub and awesome stuff like that. We have a couple of guys doin' the job for us. They're both pretty cool dudes. Anyways, I imagined that they're nice because we chose them. Obviously they're gonna be amazing. However, I was quickly shown my falsehood. We went down to our local home depot, for like the 4th time that week to get supplies for the contractor peeps. We picked up a cart in the parking lot with a gimpy wheel and made our way in casually to the bang and clatter of the faulty cart. Smooth.
We walked over to get ourselves some "Hardybacker" (drywall stuffs) and there were two men just about to grab some of their own. So, prepared to wait patiently, we settled down to wait our turn. However, instead of taking it to their cart, they took it to ours. They then proceeded to ask us how many we needed and carried them all and set them on the truck-cart-randomthingwithwheels. We thanked them, and I must say, this made my perspective of contractors only rise from my previous positive attitude toward them. I was already like, "omGeee(osh), they are soo coolio."
We then bought our boards and walked out, again thanking them, when my dad realized that he had forgotten to get something and ran back into the Home Dee-pot. I nonchalantly pushed my very loud cart over towards the car and when I reached it, prepared to wait. I got bored after about 10 seconds, looked at the boards, the car, and the boards again. You know that's right.
I then popped the hatch and began to slide the board off the cart into the car, probably not the smartest idea because they were really heavy, in retrospect. At the time it seemed like a phenomenal idea. "Then my dad will think I'm a real man!" Yeah. Right. Anyway, I managed one in and was working on my second after removing the shopping cart so a car could get by when one of the guys who was just about to get into his car paused. He could have been watching me for quite a bit, it was probably amusing for him. The point being that he began to walk over: "Hey, you need some help with that?"
"Nah!" I grunted from under the board. "My dad's coming." Right on time, I looked over and saw my dad walking in the distance across the endless parking lot. "There he is," I said pointing.
The man got back into his car and drove away like he didn't have a care in the world while I struggled with the board. But it was okay. My heart was really happy. My thoughts were pretty much: I LOVE CONTRACTORS. Sheesh, I couldn't get this kind of service from people who worked at other places. Cough, Microsoft, cough. So yeah, basically I've decided that contractors are amazing and they should all be commended for extended levels of awesomeness, kindness, and relative swagger.
Haha.

"Challenge accepted."

So today has been a good day. I woke up feeling all good inside. Relatively anyway. And the day was going even better until I reopened the blog Megan Squared. Let's just describe the blog like this: if you could quantify happiness, it would be measured by the number of minutes spent reading this blog. I've been reading the post "MORE STATII" and I'm laughing. And laughing. And laughing.
AIHWFUIWEGUIQWGUGI(W#EBTHG)H#QGOUQH#B!
See. Laughter is not only vicious but can cause implosions. I feel so happy right now. If you were to take a dinosaur shaped refrigerator filled with dinosaur shaped chocolate. SCRATCH THAT! It doesn't even compare! Now bacon. Mmm bacon. Bacon is so good that when you find out what it's made out of, you don't even care. Gimme some more of that piggie. While on the topic of piggies, seals are ADORABLE.
My literature teacher's assumption is that things are cute because they are small. I REFUTE THIS STATEMENT. That seal is soo adorable. ADORABLE YOU HEAR ME!!?! Smallness is not the only factor in cuteness. Wrong. Lies. Demons from the dark depths of Absolom's tummy. I would say womb, but I think Absolom is a guy. I'm not positive, but children tell your parents to love you.
If you took a fried chicken, and put it next to a candle, and you burned both, which would smell better? I believe it would depend on whether or not the candle is fried chicken flavored.
I spent most of my life never tasting KFC. I always wanted to. I eventually did. It wasn't nearly as exciting as I expected it to be. HOLY SMEGOL... I don't know where I was going with that. Smegol is not holy, neither are cows DARKSWORDS. I kept telling the moderators, they wouldn't listen. I'd be all like:
Me: Cows aren't holy
Moderator: Oh no, not you again.
Me: No, but seriously, cows aren't holy, they aren't covered in holes and therefore they shouldn't be called cows.
Moderator: What?
Me: Yup. Exactly.
Moderator decides to mute me.
The gods take away your ability to speak!
I would then try and point out there is only one God, and this game doesn't revolve around gods whatsoever and therefore there shouldn't be any gods able to take away my ability to speak. Of course, I couldn't because I'm muted. I can recall many a situation where I've been muted but I never was able to plea the fifth because... well I was already muted. Hmm, I never tried pleating the third. I should. It would look excellent on my toga... because I own a toga.
Did I ever mention that I'm crazy? I wonder if they have certificates for insanity. I bet I could win one. Maybe at a carnival.... with carnival goldfish. Yeah, that's a link to Spotify. GET IT! If you don't I'll feel very disappointed in you. You can make up for it by loving Pokemon with a passion. Yup. Spotify. Delicious. Food. I want food. I'm not really hungry. I see pie. and Pi. Maybe I should eat some. Pie, not pi. Maybe you should eat me. DON'T DO IT CANNIBALS. That was a joke. Laugh. NOW.
N-E-Ways.
"I know I'm full...I mean really full...but there's cake and I'm bored."
"If you believe in love, it lives." Apparently.
